As a photographer, there is no greater joy to me than capturing life’s special moments. There are a few moments in life that are bigger, more special and more planned than most including your engagement, your wedding and the birth or adoption of a child. I have been lucky enough to experience all of these moments in my own life and want to help you capture those amazing moments to find joy and reminisce on throughout your life.
Engagement Sessions
Engagement sessions are fairly common now and many photographers will include them with a booking of a wedding. These sessions are special because they often capture the true personalities of the couple. These can often take place in a special area to the couple, maybe where you first met or where you had your first date, your favorite place to visit together or where you got engaged. Engagement photos are often used for Save the Dates, so fun date props are also common. Additionally, many couples like to use props that to show off their style, love or silliness. Here are some of our favorites from over the years!
Engagement sessions are also a great way to get to know your photographer and get comfortable in front of the camera. Personalities need to mesh so you will get the best product. If you or your fiancé don’t get a long well with your photographer than it will show through your photos and the last thing you want to remember is how irritated you were instead or how happy you should be.
Your photographer should be a people person! Someone who is comfortable making you laugh, getting up close shots and being able to direct your friends and family as needed in a kind way.
